Biography

Dan David Higgins is one of Scotland's up and coming film composers whose list of film credits demonstrate his variety of musical skills. Born in Glasgow to a musical family, Higgins went onwards to pursue a career in music at Riverside Music Complex , at the age of 21 he later graduated from the University of Wolverhampton, from which he studied performance industries and went on to specialize in Film scoring. His first achievement was for short-film "Flitter (2023)" and "The Life Coach (2023)" both directed by Grant Deans and both written by Award winning author RJ Ellory. For "Flitter", Dan received the Award for Best Musical Score at the '48 hour film project, Edinburgh 2023', while "The Life Coach" received a nomination for Best Musical Score at the '48 hour film project, Glasgow 2023'. Dan Later Composed the Song "Highland Psycho Killer", which won the 'Best Song' Award at the 'Inverness 48 Hour Film Project 2024'. Recent Composer credits include upcoming releases; "All Who Wonder (2025)", Directed by Anna Brehm, "What Wait's Beyond" Directed by Dorian Todd and his first International Feature Film "No Time for Goodbye (2025)", Directed by Don Ng, which Won the 'Best Music for feature film at the '14th Annual Global Nonviolent Film Festival'.
