His career completely collapsed after he was involved in a high-profile cult-related murder case. He was accused of following an illegal cult, participating in the abuse and death of a cult member, and helping coordinate false statements and cover up evidence, which led to his arrest and prosecution on serious criminal charges including murder-related offenses and obstruction of justice.
