Ana Maria Gheorghe
Biography
Ana Gheorghe is a screenwriter and producer, having a B.A. in Film Studies and a M.A. in Screenwriting from the National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale” Bucharest. She has written three feature length scripts and a number of short films. Her graduation short A NIGHT IN TOKORIKI received the Special Prize from the Generation 14plus jury at the 2016 Berlinale and was screened at almost 90 festivals such as AFI Fest, San Sebastian, Karlovy Vary, Namur. Since 2016, Ana-Maria works as Developmentand Executive Producer for Saga Film, a production company based in Bucharest, founded in 2000 by Alexandru Teodorescu. At Saga Ana has produced short films such as MAYBE DARKNESS WILL COVER ME, BUCHAREST SEEN FROM ABOVE (selected at Trieste FF, Thessaloniki FF, Transilvania IFF) and INTERFON 15 (premiered at Semaine de la Critique Cannes 2021). Now, Ana is in post-production with Andrei Epure’s first feature film DON’T LET ME DIE, and in pre-production with NAVA MAMĂ, Ana Vijdea’s debut documentary, developed at IDFA Project Space and Mediterranean Film Institute's DocLab.
