- Karumban, who has dedicated his life to the ritualistic art form of Theyyam had only one goal in his life. It was to become a Chinkam, the chieftain of the Ooru (the tribal village), like his father. But, Karumban could not achieve his goal. And, finally Karumban meets with a tragic end en route to Onkara. Karumban's daughter elopes with a deceitful young man from the city and later gets killed.
